The Routes des Grandes Alpes is one of cycling’s most iconic itineraries featuring Col d’Iseran, Cormet de Roseland, Col d’Izoard, Col de la Bonette, Mont Cenis, and many other world-class climbs.

With an average daily ascent of 2,200m and average daily distance of 95km, this tour is challenging yet achievable for any fit rider. See below for the detailed itinerary. We aim to make this lifetime achievement as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Our tour is not a ‘Raid’ or race with all the associated pressures to perform although the ride still presents real challenges which will make its completion a true achievement.

  • Fully supported with experienced guides, following support vehicles and pro bike mechanic
  • Small maximum group size for personal attention
  • No need for maps, leave the navigation to us
  • 8 nights half-board accommodation in quality hotels
  • Dine together every night and share the stories of the day
  • Includes airport transfers for you and your bike box
  • Just get to Geneva and we’ll do the rest

You will stay in exceptional cycle-friendly hotels with a sumptuous 3 or 4 course meal every evening and a substantial breakfast every morning (always with plenty of carbs). We have a maximum of 14 guest places on this tour, with a support team of two riders, two vehicles and a mechanic. You are always well catered for and are free to relax and simply focus on the cycling.

On the daily rides our support minibuses continually leap-frog the group with chilled water, High 5 energy gels & bars, fresh & dried fruit, Haribos, spare kit etc., and are on hand to assist with mechanical issues should they occur. We manage the group so that everyone can ride at the pace that they are comfortable with, and will regroup regularly, and always at the top of a col.

We are not here to beast you, but rather to encourage you, and share in the challenge and triumph of the conquest. We dine together every evening to celebrate the latest victories and share the happenings of the day.
