Full circuit of the Marmotte Sportive and more including Alpe d'Huez, Galibier, Telegraphe, Glandon, Madeleine, Montvernier & Chaussey

Arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Sunday, the Marmotte Tour route traces a full circuit of the infamous Marmotte Sportive, starting and finishing in Morzine.

  • Ride deep into the heart of the French Alps
  • Climb 7,600m in three days
  • Mount the podium at the top of Alpe d’Huez
  • Stand in awe of the ethereal views from Galibier at 2600m

Half-board accommodation is included throughout in exceptional cycle-friendly hotels with a delicious 3 or 4 course meal every evening and a substantial breakfast every morning (always with plenty of carbs). We will also provide your transfers from Geneva airport – just get to Geneva and we will do the rest!

Each day on tour you will ride two world-class climbs. Expect to climb from a lush warm summer Alpine valley surrounded by every hue of green to find yourself, after a long and gruelling ascent, surrounded by snow-capped peaks in a wilderness on top of the world. Tuck in to a spine-tingling descent for an entire kilometre vertical, and then do it all again.

Our staff in support minibuses continually leap-frog the group with chilled water, High 5 energy gels & bars, fresh & dried fruit, Haribos, spare kit etc., and are on hand to assist with mechanical issues should they occur. Feel free to hitch a ride if you would prefer to save yourself for later. We manage the group so that everyone can ride at the pace that they are comfortable with, and will regroup regularly, and always at the top of a col.

We are not here to beast you, but rather to encourage you, and share in the challenge and triumph of the conquest. We dine together every evening to celebrate the latest victories and share the stories of the day, and maintain a high staff to guest ratio to ensure your needs are always well catered for.

If you enjoy climbing and descending (although you could take a lift in the support vehicle if either is too much) then the Marmotte tour is amazing including 6 iconic Tour de France ascents.

Marmotte tour was the perfect mix of testing climbs with exceptional support

The tour itself was spot on for a first time trip to theAlps. The routes and rides were organised and well thought through, and the climbs well supported for water, supplies and encouragement. The overnight stops were basic and clean, however the food in all of these was phenomenal. I found it very useful to be able to keep the room at the base chalet at Morzine, and the team there with were very friendly, organised and accommodating, and again the meals provided here were fantastic.

Route choice is excellent, scenery fantastic. There are a lot of really classic climbs packed into 3 days, with some outstading descents in between too.

Make no mistake this is a challenging tour with some tough climbing. However it is absolutely spectacular with truly Iconic climbs boasting dramatic and beautiful scenery. The Forever Morzine team manage the group very well with everyone being able to ride at their own pace, fully supported and not feeling left out or behind. Our group had a fair range in abilities and so a times were a little strung out on the climbs but the combination of support vans and a guide on the road with us meant that from fastest to slowest everyone was encouraged to achieve what they wanted and really enjoy themselves.

Excellent tour - tough but so rewarding. Expertly supported by Dani, our on-bike guide, and Carl our driver and chief motivator. The two of them really made the cycles achievable and special. Organisation, hire bikes, hotels and food were spot on. If you want to cycling some iconic climbs like Galibier, Alpe D'Huez and Gladon with a company who really know what they are doing I would strongly recommend going with Forever Morzine,

I purchased the 4 day Marmotte tour, which was the perfect introduction to riding in the French Alps. The team supported the riders with two vans and two tour guides, one which supported the front and the other support the slower riders. No matter what your experience or fitness all riders were catered for. The vans had all the various accessories that you could need on such a ride, in all a great time, great people and location.
