Ventoux, Alpe d'Huez, Galibier, Telegraphe, Izoard, Bonette, Madeleine, Glandon, Colombiere & Joux Plane

This is a 7 night / 8 day supported point-to-point tour, starting and finishing in Morzine. We have carefully crafted the itinerary to guarantee as many A-list cols in the shortest time possible. All you have to do is ride the 10 icons: Ventoux, Alpe d’Huez, Galibier, Telegraphe, Izoard, Bonette, Madeleine, Glandon, Colombiere & Joux Plane.

Half-board accommodation is included throughout in exceptional cycle-friendly hotels with a delicious 3 or 4 course meal every evening and a substantial breakfast every morning (always with plenty of carbs). We will also provide your transfers from Geneva airport – just get to Geneva, and we’ll do the rest.

We have a maximum of 14 guest places on this tour, with a support team of two riders, two vehicles and a mechanic. Our support minibuses continually leap-frog the group with chilled water, High 5 energy gels & bars, fresh & dried fruit, Haribos, spare kit etc., and are on hand to assist with mechanical issues should they occur. We manage the group so that everyone can ride at the pace that they are comfortable with, and will regroup regularly, and always at the top of a col.

We are not here to beast you, but rather to encourage you, and share in the challenge and triumph of the conquest. We dine together every evening to celebrate the latest victories and share the stories of the day.

Well worth it not to worry about booking accommodations or where to eat. Have a mechanical? No worries...Alex was there to fix it. While I enjoyed the quirkiness of several of the hotels, I would have preferred more time to relax in the nicer hotels at the end of the day.

See above. Although not the cheapest tour it was a great experience.

Great value for the tour, hotels, meals and overall support.

Icon Tour

It was a fantastic tour and the staff went above a beyond to make it such a memorable trip. Already looking at the next one to go on. The icon tour was very well thought out and allows one to efficiently hit 10 of the epic Alpine tour de France climbs. Would even do the exactly same tour again!

Icon Tour

To be able to do this in a week is outstanding. Yet I think I want to do it again!

The actual cost of the holiday great. Dinner every night was a blessing as you didn't have to think about anything other than the next days gear and a shower! Some other tour operators don't do dinner every night which would of been a real nightmare to organise when tired after a days cycling.
The only place that was a disappointment was the Quirky Hotel, the food and room not nice at all.

Worth every penny can't wait to go back.

The price was reasonable and the value was very high. Some of the hotels were "quirky," which kept the price reasonable. Mostly we needed the hotels to sleep and eat and the food was uniformly excellent.

Wonderful trip of a lifetime!!!!

Great climbs and descents

The Icon 10 Cols Tour is incredible - all the iconic climbs in one week. But it is tough and requires a good level of road fitness. However the support and itinerary are both amazing. This was one of my most memorable weeks and I highly recommend it.

Each one of the rides was meticously thought through with great consideration taken in the routes, spectacular scenery, coffee stops and most importantly the support team cars that were a great asset to each ride.
The planning of each of these rides took a great deal of thought from Paul and his team to offer an exceptional cycling experience. Top marks to all and Im already planning to go on one of next years tours.

Happily booked this tour with Forever Morzine as having used them multiple times before, it was the obvious choice. Full on service, organisation and support every day with fantastic personal service.
Hotels and meals all good and clearly well considered and vetted personally.
Tour included the full bucket list in the French Classic Climbs.
Although a couple of necessary longish transfers to reach Mont Ventoux, it was of course an essential inclusion in the tour, and very much accepted as an essential climb.
Forever Morzine Team perfect as usual even with 1st day unforseen changes.

Really well designed trip, all aspects of it very well planned. A great first alpine cycling experience.

Loved everything about the trip - the climbs, the ride support, the accommodations, the planning, the food, the attention to detail, the bike I hired for the week, the intangibles (how it all felt, the dynamic, how people got along, etc.). I was the only one on the trip who came alone, knowing no one. I was also the only woman and the least experienced rider. All of this was fine - everyone went out of their way to make me feel good, welcome, included, and looked after. Paul, Dani, and Adam are the best ever. I want to go on MANY MORE trips with them !!!

The tour was excellent. Favorite climb: Alpe d'Huez for the iconic climb, the view, the history and the village on top. Hardest climb: Col du Glandon - just when you think your legs are done, the gradient increases and after 10000 feet of climbing, the last 3 km at 11% average will test your fortitude. Favorite descent: Mt Ventoux for the long straights and sweeping turns - I felt comfotable at 54 mph going down. Worst climb: Col d'Izoard - there were so many flies, I couldn't concentrate on riding and considered bailing out several times, but I just kept pedaling. Favorite town: Malaucene - while we only ate lunch there it was the most vibrant of the towns we visited. Favorite restaurant: Chez Max in Malaucene - simple yet delicious. Favorite hotel: This was a toss up - while Hotel Au Bon Accueil had the best pre-dinner pasta bar and good breakfast, Villa Morelia was a place I would definitely visit on a second honeymoon. But let's not forget our base hotel in Morzine and the staff there. They set a very high bar for service. The breakfast was consistent and fulfilling while dinner exceeded my expectations every night we were there. If I went back to Morzine for a ski vacation, this is where I would stay.

Our group of riders were awesome as well. We had three beasts, a few in the middle and a few slower riders. Everyone was accommodated well. There were two cars so they leap frogged to provide support. No one was shamed for not completing a stage or for being last. In fact while I achieved my goal of making all 10 climbs, I would have actually liked a real rest day in a cool village as my legs were spent after day 3.

There is one thing I consider a negative and this was not isolated to our tour as I stayed in Geneva for several days after and then in Paris. The beds are too soft and regardless of how I positioned myself, I woke up every morning with a back ache. My back generally hurts on my bike after 50 miles and 5000 feet of climbing anyway (still working on fit), but the beds added to the discomfort. Likely not much that can be done there if you like firm beds except bring a sleeping bag and a thin blow up camping mattress and sleep on the floor. I have camped in between cycling days and felt better than sleeping on the beds.

Overall, if you would like to go and experience the French Alps by bike, I would highly recommend the Forever Morzine team. Compared to Trek and Rapha tours, who we saw on the trip staying at the same hotels, you will get a great experience for less money with phenomenal service. And if it matters everyone on staff and in our group spoke English (Australia, New York, Canada and California). So if English is your only language, you won't feel out of place. If riding the French Alps is on your bucket list, Forever Morzine is the team to check it off.

The idea of cycling in the Alps on some of the climbs used in the Tour de France had been a dream for me for years. Having the Forever Morzine team of Paul, Adam and Dani's support on the climbs, and leap frogging back in forth to provide cold drinks, snacks and moral support made climbing and descending some of the most famous mountains in France, a most enjoyable and memorable experience.
